Privacy

Somva collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.

No account, no server

Somva has no sign-up, no login and no backend. There is no server that could hold your dreams, because there is no server at all. Nothing you write or say is transmitted anywhere.

Where your dreams live

Everything you record stays in the app's own storage on this device, inside the sandbox iOS gives every app. It is included in your device backup if you make one, under your own control. Deleting the app deletes the archive.

Speech

When you speak a dream, recognition runs on the device. Somva sets the recognizer to offline mode and does not fall back to server-side recognition. If your phone cannot recognise your language offline, the app says so and asks you to type instead — it will not quietly send the audio away to make the feature work.

Analysis

The dream analysis — the category coding, the symbols, the patterns and the comparison with published norms — is computed on the device from dictionaries shipped inside the app. No text is sent to any language model or API.

Purchases

If you buy a subscription, the purchase is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which manages the subscription state. They receive an anonymous purchase identifier and the transaction — never the content of your dreams.

Two other values are sent to RevenueCat, and it is worth naming them exactly: the language the app is set to, and how full your archive is as one of four bands — new, early, building, series. Not the number of nights, not a date, and nothing from inside a dream. They exist so the right subscription screen can be shown to someone on their third night rather than their hundredth. If you never open the subscription screen, nothing is sent at all. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's.

Analytics

There are none. No usage tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDK that observes what you do.

Children

Somva is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this ever changes — for example if a future version offers optional sync — this page will say so before the feature ships, and the feature will be off unless you turn it on.
